Regulation (EU) 2023/2055 – what operators need to know

Regulation enters into force

(EU) 2023/2055 restricts synthetic polymer-based infill (SBR, EPDM, TPE) as artificial turf infill under REACH Annex XVII.

until 17 October 2031

Transition period for existing facilities

Existing facilities may continue operating their infill until the end of the 8-year transition period. New builds and renovations are not covered by this exemption.
